• I was trying to add a facebookcode into the css/php edit(i know it was the wrong place). But after I updated the file, both the site and control panel went white, and does not respond. Is it any way to undo the update, or do anything that can be done to get the site back up? Or at least get the control panel to work.

  • Hello Gleini,

Did you add the code via the WordPress Dashboard editor? You’ll probably need to get ftp access so that you can go in and remove the code from the file.

    Hope that helps,
    Sage

Another solution is to overwrite your theme (or only thaat file)via FTP. Its a solution if you dont remember where you placed the code.

I found the functions.php file through FTP access, edited and uploaded it again. Thanks for the help. And for the record, I used the dashboard editor as I was trying to find the HTML editor.

    Great to hear!
