Meta Description changes not applied?

    I’m using WordPress 4.6.1 and SEO Ultimate 7.6.5.8.
    I’m facing some problems while using SEO ultimate for Search Engine Listing and Social Networks Listing.
    I’m using the SEO Settings to write a meta description for all my posts. When publishing a new post, this works completely fine. However, I recently noticed I made an embarassing typo in the meta description of an older post and wanted to edit that. The plugin does indeed save the change – both on the “editing post”-page as well as in the Meta Description Editor in the SEO Settings. But if I hit my share buttons now, I still get the old, unedited meta description.
    At first I thought my browser cache might be the one causing this, but even after deleting I still get the unedited meta descriptions.

    Does anybody know what’s causing this and how to change / repair this?
