Language switcher doesn’t change YOAST SEO meta fields

  • As the topic Language switcher doesn’t change meta-content is closed for further comments, I have opened this new one.

    qTranslate-X still not changes MOST meta fields after switching languages (title, description and main keyword): Basically you have to refresh the screen before you can see the real values of those fields. Here comes the test case:

    WordPress Version 4.6.1 (es_ES)?– also happened with previous?versions
    – Yoast SEO Version 3.5??– also happened with previous versions
    – Integration: Yoast SEO & qTranslate-X = Version 1.2? (got it from here) – also happened with?version 1.1.1.
    – qTranslate-X version Version 3.4.8? (got it from here) – also happened with?version?3.4.6.8
    – qTranslate slug Version 1.1.18

    2. This is the English page after switching languages: https://screencast.com/t/RRVQo3QK4 ?All related fields should have ENGLISH values, but the only one that changes is the Meta Keyword.
    3. … and, being now in EGLISH, after refreshing the screen (F5) you see how it should be https://screencast.com/t/C4ZiuRm5mTAN .
    4. Switching back to Spanish again only the Meta Keyword changes, all other remains ENGLISH: https://screencast.com/t/mkIwrILG1k9
    5. …and after refreshing the page again (F5, being in Spanish) all is correct again: https://screencast.com/t/0GzVgctZ
    6. If I now switch back to ENGLISH and update any of those fields (in this case the target keyword) https://screencast.com/t/zGtvJQF3, then the ENGLISH entry is updated but ONLY the modified field. After the update, this is the Spanish https://screencast.com/t/cDc9HHlUvm, and this the ENGLISH entry https://screencast.com/t/zROJlw7xZH (always refreshing with F5 in-between).

    In summary, after switching languages? most field values show still the old values, but only updated fields are saved, although other’s language values are displayed to the user, hence; completely confusing the user. ?All this seems to indicate that the plugin internally switches correctly, but does not update the field values displayed.

    Note: I have also tested deactivating the plugin qTtranslate slug, but the same occurs.

    @akleines2 i have the same problem, refreshing the page does make it reflect the correct values, but <b>only</b> if I update each language individually. didn’t have time to study how this translation thing works, else i can help change the source.
