Gallery New Feature

  • I was reading the feature list of 2.6 here:

    After reading it I thought I would download it and give it a try. One of the features listed in the above link is:

    *Add sorting to gallery

    For the life of me, after I downloaded and install I can’t find a gallery for WP 2.6.

    Is there a gallery or or am I misunderstanding the feature list?

  • There is a gallery. I just figured out how to use it a bit today, and I’m actually kind of disappointed in it, unless I’m totally underestimating its abilities.

    When you’re writing a new post/page and upload images, after the images finish uploading, you’ll see that the “gallery” tab next to the “upload” tab will have the number of images you uploaded next to it now. Click on “gallery” and you can change the order of the pics and then insert into the post/page.

    Still haven’t figured out how to edit the gallery in terms of linking the pics to where I want them to go, etc.
