• Hi I got this problem in order notes:
Payment Failed – Order status changed from Pending Payment to Failed.
CardConnect failed transaction. Response: CURL error?

  • @ggittar That message can sometimes occur if there was a problem connecting with the CardConnect server. Have you had that message again since? Have there been any other successful transactions since?

I am experiencing the exact same issue. Every now and then some go thru. But when they don’t the cardpointe backend always is missing the expriration date and the last digit of the card number. Even though the client entered in all that.

I think this issue is more widespread than originally thought. This needs to be escalated. We run an number of woocommerce stores all with the cardpointe plugin. Yet this problem keeps happening.

I am receiving the same error. What is the solution for this? And what exactly does the error mean?

Would you verify for me that under WooCommerce >> Settings >> Checkout >> CardConnect, that you see no “port” error notifications, in red, at the bottom of the page?

If there are no errors, would you verify your MID, username and password are correct, and that the “Site” field contains “fts” only?

If all of that looks good, and you are on shared hosting, you may need to request that CardConnect ports be opened for communication with the Card Connect servers, even if you see no port errors.

Thank you for the quick reply.

There are no port errors. I had them originally (months ago) but they have been fixed and we are now on a Virtual Private Server (not shared).
