Buddypress plugin

  • This might be a dumb question but, is the free Buddypress plugin compatible with the Rookie theme on the most recent version of WordPress? (4.6.1)? i want to install it but i see that it says it “hasnt been tested with current wordpress theme”… I dont want to install it if it will require a ton of manual coding on the back-end to function.

    Hi James!

    We don’t have any kind of special code for budypress so it it’s like WooCommerce or even SportsPress itself that requires a bit of coding (like templates or some custom functions) it may not work as you wanted out of the box

    Actually we added BuddyPress support to Rookie in version 1.3.10, so it should be fully compatible ??

    Thanks Brian! That’s great– so it is fully compatible with rookie… what about current version of WP? (4.6.1)… might be another dumb question but in the details it says it is only compatible through version 4.5.4…. and has not been tested with current version. Should i be concerned or is that not a big deal? (i installed bbPress and it appears to be working fine, despite not being “compatible”)
