Permalinks(I think) issue

Hi there, I am having some issues with permalinks(I think) at the moment, and I’m not sure what’s going on or where to start. I’ve been troubleshooting for some days now, and I was hoping someone here could make sense of my issue. So, I’m developing locally, and everything is working fine, i have my permalinks set to /%category%/%postname%/- on my lamp server, the site doesn’t recognize the permalinks, as any child page will load the index.php template and load all of my posts, instead of loading any page content. However, all is working well for top level pages, pages with no parents – it’s only the nested/child pages that aren’t picking up the proper template, and I have many nested pages… does anyone know what the cause of this could be? I am using a child theme based on the bootstrap ultimate theme(which seriously outdated, I know) and I’m wondering if that would be causing an issue? Or would the theme ever cause this kind of issue? Right now, I’m going the process of elimination in order to find the culprit.
