    I am facing a strange problem with one of a network of sites sites. The problem goes back and forth, could not identify when it happens, so I can not guarantee 100% sure that does not happen in other network sites.

    At times, when you add a new post system is editing a post already saved instead of creating a new post. Already I disabled all site plugins to ensure that there is interference from any of them and deactivated the automatic rescue, then I’m creating posts and saving as a draft, at times instead of saving a new draft he edits an existing post, when it first happens it is as if the post ID stay saved and I even clicking add new when I click save draft it simply edit the post that already existed.

    I’m so lost with this problem, does anyone have any tips on how I can get to the root of the problem and solve? Someone has faced something like that?

  • We’re having this exact problem. The “Add New Post” page edits the previous post, and publishing the “New” post overwrites the previous post and causes it to disappear completely.

    This is a MAJOR issue.

    @petapixel,

    Were you able to identify any patterns? I’m trying to figure out when the error happen to get closer to the solution, but it seems to happen at random.

    I reverted to the previous version of WordPress and will wait until this gets figured out and fixed ??

    I believe it may be incompatible with some plugin or theme, say that because only one site of a network of nearly 10 is experiencing the error.

    I’m basically using the super cache and the ACF, but I do not think that is the problematic.

    After several tests it turned out that the problem is some misconfiguration on the server that is storing cached page post-new.php, on account of that when we try to add a new post page keeps the post ID that we added earlier and WordPress ends understanding that this is a review and not a new post.

    The problem went back and forth because we have more than one server and load balance set, only one of the servers is with this caching problem and the error only occurred when access was through him. To confirm our suspicions once we can identify the server IP with the problem and made a host to always access it, was right shot, he always error with other IPs not of.
