• Hi Guys,

I have just recently installed a brand new version of WordPress onto my site through Amazon Web Services and a linux command shell. I can log in no problem (Check the live site here) – https://52.63.42.250/

However whenever I upload a new template and activate it brings the site unreacheable. To make it live again I renamed the functions.php file within the newly activated directory to functionsold.php which had deactivated the theme and reverted to the default WordPress theme making the site live.

I’ve given all the appropriate permissions to the folders using the CHOWN 755 command. I am just wondering if whenever I upload and activate the new theme through the Admin console if I need to change anything in the backend? Maybe update the new template name into a wp-config.php file etc???? Really lost?

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks

    R
