I have downloaded and activiated a plug in – Google Analytics by Monsterinsighrs. I now want to place in in my footer. How?
I have gone to Appearance, Widgets where I have my footer – but how to insert this plugin?

I am using Vantage Premium, trying to insert Google Analytics in either the header or footer. I see I should normally go to Appearance, then Editor to search out the php files. problem is on my Vantage Premium there does not seem to be Editor under Appearance. can anyone suggest what I do?

    Hi WGJ,

Okay so to clarify, if the editor isn’t present under the Appearance menu it’s due to a WordPress config setting disabling it. We do not recommend directly editing theme files as any changes you make, will be lost on theme update.

Instead, consider adding your Google Analytics code with a plugin like Insert Headers and Footers.

Regarding Google Analytics by Monsterinsights, that plugin likely automatically adds the required Google Analytics code so as soon as you connect it with your Google Analytics account, no further setup should be required.

By the way, as you’re a premium user, you’re entitled to priority email support. If you would like to make use of that, please follow the instructions found on this page. Please reference this thread and include your SiteOrigin order key in the email.
