Post By Email

  • Set up post by email. Sent a test post to email server…
    Email was posted, but not correctly.
    They only thing that displayed was the Subject/Title of the post.
    The actual body of the post never appeared.

    This method of alternate posting is becoming a pain….
    Is there anything that make it more simple to post via a cell phone. I use a blackberry, and the onlything I can find to post from it is to send an email.

    also when i post using my blackberry i get a load of jumbled letters

    what are we doing wrong?

    You folks are doing better than me. I can’t even get a subject or title to display. I configured it using server=mail.DOMAIN.net and login=[email protected]. Any ideas?

    (obviously DOMAIN is a placeholder for my actual web site)

    I know WordPress wants a POP3 server, so maybe it’s looking for POP.DOMAIN.NET… Just a thought.

    I’m migrating a virtual community from a yahoo mailing list to a WordPress site. I need to find a method of echoing mailing list posts to the new site. Like the earlier posters, I have problems with the built-in method. Sometimes I only get the subject and sometimes the entire post. Sometimes when I get the entire post, the spaces have been parsed into %20’s.

    Any ideas?
