Version 3.1.5 resolved the no auto close for my site.

Still interested in screen size control suggestions.

    Hi MechaWear,

What exactly are you wanting to do on smaller screens? Right now, the plugins offers a simple setting to disable auto-showing the box entirely on screens smaller than … px which should make sure that the box never takes up too much screen space on smaller devices.

The new Google rule is mostly about pop-ups that take up too much screen space, so a small cornered box which is configured to not show on the smallest of screens should not cause any issues at all.

Would love to hear what other suggestions you may have for handling smaller screens. There are a few other measures you can take like decreasing box padding / font sizes but this is all tightly related to your actual box content, so it’s hard to give any plug & play recommendations for this.

    Let me know please!

    Hello, Danny

I wan’t sure if Google was going to penalize all popups on mobile. Hopefully you’re right and it’s just about “too much screen space”. Does anyone ever really know what the big G is thinking???

I don’t want to block the box on any screens, because it brings in subscribers… I’ve reduced the size and it looks good on mobile so I’ll test it for awhile.

One request: Please remove the link to my example page in my original comment, if you can.

Thanks again for the excellent plugins. MC for WP saved me from the “official” MC plugin, which is a dumpster fire.
