User can’t upload images

  • Hi,

    I’ve just installed this plugin on a site. I’ve created a specific role, ED Writer, and I want a user in that role to be able to create and edit posts – including uploading media to those posts – but not to be able to publish those posts or edit others posts.

    Users are submitting posts via a CRED form which I’ve created using Toolset Access.

    I’ve given the role these permissions:
    create_posts
    edit_media_s
    edit_others_media_s
    edit_posts
    edit_private_media_s
    edit_published_media_s
    publish_media_s
    read_private_media_s
    unfiltered_upload
    upload_files

    But when they are creating a post and try to upload media in the edit pane via the Cred form, they get the following error message:
    “You don’t have permission to attach files to this post.”

    Are there any further permissions I need to grant to enable them to upload images into the post body?

    Hi Hannah,

    If Cred form saves post with “Published” status before upload images and attach to it, then role may require to have ‘edit_published_posts’ capability.
