• I wanted to show only social icons and NOT the box for the email, that I did not selected.
    I selected only the icons that I wanted and…. the plugin show ONLY what I did not want.. the emailbox!!! I had to delete the plugin, I hope to receive a message when the problem will be solved.

  • Hi Valentina,

    You mention an “email box” – I assume you mean the subscription form, correct?

    The subscription form is placed separately from the icons. Most likely you placed it via widget or shortcode, and then changed the icons which didn’t have any impact on the placement of the subscription form.

    If you want to remove the subscription form, please remove it from the widget area where you placed it initially or remove the shortcode (if placed via shortcode).

    @valentina17 – I think you’re being terribly unfair to the developer, who’s gone to a lot of effort to provide and support a free plugin, as you’ve not used the support forum first.

    It looks as if the developer, just 20 minutes later, is now assisting – once he’s helped I hope you will consider giving him a much better review ??

    Being self developer (not web dev though) I can only support what dartiss said above. Simply unfair @valentina17. Go and contact developers first before rating 1 star. Every other behaviour is nothing but arrogant imho.

    @socialdude: Is not what Valentina meant the email icon bound to specificfeeds.com? One cannot unselect that one. I guess it is some part of your financial model – the cooperation with that site. Or is specificfeeds your another product? Can you please comment on that. If I got a chance I personally would rather disable it…

    This isn’t an unfair review. The reviews section is meant to provide the author with feedback of their plugin. This is feedback, even if it is posted in the wrong place.

    I would discourage you from posting in people’s reviews if you’re going to resort to personal remarks.

    Hi Andrew, Fair enough, I hear you and will avoid this kind of comments. Actually I never done it before so it will be easy to avoid it. I liked the factual core of Valentina’s feedback, I mean the description of the problem. That one is fair and factual. The only think I pointed out is rating 1 star before giving the authors the chance to react. I assume she/he/they spent many weeks/months developing the plugin so they deserve a decent treatment. Anyway I am nobody but rookie in WP world, so treating silently back. You are moderator, so you know best what the proper behavior is. As said I won’t comment in this direction anymore.     If someone had a 5 star experience then yes it would be great if they could rate 5 star. If someone had a 1 star experience then this is exactly why we allow them to rate 1 star.
