WP adds an ending a tag to anchor names.

    I’m trying to add an a tag with the name attribute to a section of one my pages, but WordPress keeps adding the ending a tag, which ruins the effect, because when I hover the mouse it looks like a link, even though it is not clickable.

    In the dashboard > Settings > Writing > Formating, “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” is disabled. So I don’t know what could be causing the problem.

    How can I fix this problem, wordpress adds the ending a tag no matter how many times I erase it.

    I hope someone can help me.
