I get this error on the dashboard and when trying to upgrade automatically akismet and another plug’in

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class snoopy in /nfs/cust/5/95/13/531595/web/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 47

Show also in the dashboard inside the Incoming links section.

On the browser I get a 500 error

I substitute again the snoopy file and nothing.

I am trying to upload the wp-includes again by ftp. The installation I did it with the automatic installation plug-in. This is the first time I get a problem with it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in adavance.

  • I had this same problem – it seems like there is a problem in the automatic upgrade plugin.

Deactivate that plugin, and all the problems should go away. Or, at least they did for me.

    Thanks!

Hi thanks for the advice!… I did as you say after upload again all the files in wp-includes but it is still there… I’ll wait maybe the cache is fooling me.

    Okay…

I disactivated all the plugins… and activated them one by one testing, except the automatic upgrade… And the page showed again without error. However the dashboard still had the class-snoopy error inside the incoming links section adn the others underneath didn′t showed… So uploaded again the class-snoopy.php file and now works…!!!

I also upgraded the automatic upgrade plugin but still is messing things up… so I guess I had an ftp upload problem of sorts, because they claim they fixed…

    So thanks again!!!!
