  • I downloaded Chosen and went pretty far without realizing Chosen doesn’t have any widget space and they’re tricky to add/not possible to add if you’re not very comfortable with WordPress and PHP (not sure you can add them even if you are).

    That said, very clean, awesome theme.

    Thanks for trying Chosen, I’m sorry you feel it was deceptive.

    Chosen does not have any widget areas, and we never advertise it as having them. You can find this right away upon installing the theme by visiting the Widgets menu (Appearance > Widgets). It was not our intention to deceive anyone about this.

    The confusion is specifically around the word “new” in “new widget areas” which is just unfortunate. We simply meant that it adds 4 widget areas, but I can see how this could make it sound like Chosen already has widget areas. We’ll update the copy to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
