• I have been using tubepress for years until they pulled the switch-a-roo on everyone with the upgrade and crippled it. So I was on the hunt for something different.

I downloaded the free version, installed it, setup the API key, etc., etc., and it simply worked out of the box. Granted there some some technical things I’d like to see updated like visual composer integration, shortcodes, better video size control, and a few other things, but for something free, it works out of the box for the basics.

Now most of the negative reviews are about the developer asking for 20 bucks for the Pro version which adds some nice little features to the plugin such as more unique gallery presentation, cache control to increase load/response times, lazyload functions, etc.

It’s 20 bucks. The free version works and it works as described out of the box. If you want the pro features, then it’s only $20 and well worth it.

Plus for something that actually works and does what it’s supposed to do, yeah, I’ll pay the guy that wrote it $20 and say job well done for fixing a problem and giving some better functionality to WordPress.
