Great idea, poor execution

  • This is an awesome idea, executed improperly. Optgroups are meant to surround the options for which they apply, not to float above as their own option.

    Yes, but due to the way Formidable creates the output, it wasn’t a viable solution to do it that way. From my testing, it still worked correctly though.

    The plugin functions as Formidable allowed you to code it. Unfortunately, a11y and Assistive Technology friendliness is of ultimate importance on my site as all of my target audience is disabled in some way, and key to this is compliance with web standards.

    The fact that these optgroups are not standards compliant is buried in the screenshots, not something that I thought to check as I did not see a reason to go through everything first.

    Thanks. I will see if I can come up with a good solution to make it output fully compliant tags.
