False impression of website visitors

  • I’ve been recording traffic results for 55 days on two websites. The results showing a massive difference between VT and Google Analytics. Checking one particular referring site Netcraft and I found they were using a software program to collect data for identifying the number of websites using online. Thus it wasn’t a real visitor. I suspect many of the recorded visits were not visitors and the VT plugin information not useful to me.

    I score it 3 stars because it shows website Hits, unfortunately not Visitors.
