Writing a converter

  • I have a client that is wanting to convert to WordPress MU, and would like to retain all of the information from their previous blog software, which is a proprietary thing. So far, I have been able to convert most of the posts just fine, but they don’t show up publicly and the permalinks do not work.

    Clearly, I am missing a great deal. Is there a reference page that I’m not finding that will tell me what WordPress does the second that hit Submit on a post so I can step through this? I’m not seeing any with a serach.

    Alternately, I guess, I could use the source page that WP does this in.
