Inserting pictures

  • I’m having trouble inserting pictures from my desktop. I can get them into the Media Library, but they don’t insert into my Posts when I hit Insert into Post. Oftentimes, eventually the picture will appear in the Post, but only after several hours. I use a Mac. When my friend does the same operation from the back end on his PC, the process works instantly, every time. Does anyone know what’s up? This problem may be related to the extreme slowness of many WordPress functions (edit – delete – etc.) on my computer. In every other respect, I have a very fast computer, except with WordPress. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

  • It may be your browser (empty your cache), internet connection (slow on uploads), or the fact that you are using a beta version of WordPress 2.6.

    After reviewing a post on here about error uploading pictures and having the same problem it turned out to be my host.

    Hostgator has security features which block the uploads to blogs such as wordpress I asked them to turn it off for my domain and presto worked first time.

    Just an idea.
