Can I bulk upload backdated articles?

I use to have a blog that was static html, which I updated daily using FTP, so none of my posts were in a database. I have a years worth of daily posts that I would like import into WordPress for the same dates that they were actually posted, but I don’t want to enter each of them one by one. Does anyone know of an easy way to accomplish this?
