Broken theme message

  • I downloaded a theme, but I am getting a message that it’s “broken”. The message says the theme was installed, but is incomplete, it seems to be missing a stylesheet and template.

  • Can you look in the files that you unzipped and see if it’s got a style.css and index.php file?

    yep, they are both in the inzipped file. I downloaded theme #14588, it’s the Golden Gate bridge, pretty cool actually.
    I’ve downloaded it a few time and named it different things — but it just isn’t happy right now.

    I’m a bit dense, so could you give me a link to the theme and I’ll check it out for you? I tried searching for it, but am coming up short. Surely I’m missing something simple. ??

    Another silly question: You are unzipping the theme, then uploading to your themes directory in wp-content, correct?
