Finally the perfect gallery plugin for my needs!

  • I spent hours looking for a gallery plugin (even premium) with a justified/masonry template, display captions on hover, not-too-ugly-nor-too-slow responsive lightbox and alt tags.

    Foo Gallery is the only one that met my requirements, and I feel lucky and grateful : it works pretty well, and it is free.

    Only small drawback I noticed : some kind of conflict with BJ Lazy Load plugin prevents the correct display of the justified gallery (images are all square and slightly distorted). No big deal, Foo Gallery on its own is fast enough for me.

    Thanks for your great review of FooGallery and glad you like it.

    I have tested with BJ Lazy load and it seems to conflict with the justified image javascript library, as that library requires the images to be loaded to resize them correctly. I will continue to test
