It does the job but it fails on domain change

  • It’s a straightforward solution, it does the job but it’s not supported anymore and avatars are lost upon domain change

  • Avatars are not lost if you use a plugin like Duplicator to move a site or change a domain. It adjusts the the paths in serialized array in wp_usermeta and other tables.

    Thank you for pointing out Duplicator –?seems like a solution to similar problems I had before (with serialised variables) upon migrating WP sites.
