• Thank you for developing this plugin, it really is the only answer to the whole power-play that is currently going on in the core dev team.

It is just ridiculous that there are literally hundreds and hundreds of voices ignored and now the menu editor is added to the Customizer.

I actually have the plugin running on 4.3-alpha, but cannot choose that as an option ??

Thanks, Piet. That was the exact reason we developed it out of the conversations on both .org and WP Tavern. Rather than a slam or being pissed at core dev, this is no more than an option we feel should be there to turn off the feature, no more than turning off the Admin Toolbar.

The comments made it clear on a few good points that I’ll address on my site today:

    1. Seeing these new buttons are a training item for enterprise or agencies that have already trained users. It’s expensive.
    2. The move to include items in Customizer is moving too fast and against popular feedback and seems to contradict its own purpose to preview design items. Menus aren’t design, we say.
    3. Customizer should be a plugin for a long time, just as MP6 was as an interface overhaul. I still have that plugin installed on old sites that haven’t asked for updates from me – I laugh and uninstall it when I run across it.

We are developing a new version under a new name that has options, rather than this nuclear “option” that kills it outright with no settings.

    Hi Jesse,

Great plans to replace the nuclear “option” with a more subtle approach; keep me posted please ??

Another point you can add to the 3 already very valid points is that “shoving” this through our throats and having this go live in August does not give enough time to all the people that have made various tutorials, instructions on a plethora of formats.
