• 1. Keeps adding www before subdomains that get mapped.
    2. When try to set up https://www.name.com does not work.
    3. I am NOT going to park every domain that someone wants to map.
    4. I’ll stick to them having just the subdomain, if the above is how it is.

I explained this one in your other thread. As a secondary note, some browsers will try https://www.domain.com automatically if domain.com is not accessible.

I am NOT going to park every domain that someone wants to map.

Unfortunately, that’s the way DNS, webservers, etc. work. It is not a result of how either WordPress or this plugin are written.

How are we supposed to park domains that are not ours?
One of the points of doing multisites, is to let people come and sign up to get their own blog. They’d have to contact us, to have us park their domain onto the same server as the blog? To me, that sounds very strange.

As for the www, I replied to you there.

You can park any domain in your webserver control panel. A web server has no way of knowing who has access to the DNS for any domain so server control panels do not impose restrictions.

Your users can use their site subdomain as a CNAME in their DNS which will get requests for the domain to your install.

So, if they do this, I wont have to park their domain?

Ahhhh. Okay. I was misled by another topic here, where someone said we had to.
Now that I know this, it sounds a lot better.

“Now that I know this, it sounds a lot better.”

Update your rating to help others, then. ??

This rating is not fair, should be updated.
