• Hello

Does anyone know the correct chmod settings to allow the alteration of the reading page… and/or some other permissions function that needs to be set elsewhere?

In admin settings page I get these choices:

    General - Writing - Reading - Discussion - Privacy - Permalinks - Miscellaneous

but the Reading page won’t allow alterations… it ends up showing an error page with this on it:

    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /blogs/wp-admin/options.php on this server.
    ----------------------------------------------------------
    Apache/1.3.27 Server at mywebsite.com Port 80

    NB/
When the reading page is showing, the said link is:
    http colon //mywebsite dot com/blogs/wp-admin/options-reading.php

When the Save-Changes button is hovered over, the said link is:
    http colon //mywebsite dot com/blogs/wp-admin/options.php

Both pages default chmod is 644, I have tried 666 and 777 for both, but still doesnt allow changes.
Is something else, somewhere else needed??

    Cheers for any thoughts/knowledge
    Stephenn
