Issues with ads and modifying my pages

I, too, have had the ad issues. I run holistically oriented mind/body/spirit sites, and Shareaholic started displaying wholly inappropriate ads without my knowledge or consent. Regardless of whether this was announced (as if everyone reads info from every plugin they have installed on every one of their sites!), the ads should not have been started by DEFAULT. It should have been an option manually activated by the user.
Also, the Shareaholic plugin completely modified the look of one of my pages on a site using a basic, free theme. Strange, but true. Someone pointed out that a certain page had changed look on one of my sites and didn’t match all of the other pages any longer. I knew I had to remove Shareaholic from that site still, so I logged in to take care of that and whatever odd issue was occurring with the changed page. I deleted Shareaholic first and, lo and behold, the page in question went back to its original format. Scary stuff.
