Amazing bandwidth saver speed plugin

For years I used Photoshop to optimize my images and I was never happy after seeing the quality degradation. But it was a necessary evil since a lot of clients hand you 100s of photos and want them included in their sites.

I thought I’d check out Kraken since I’ve heard a lot about it from other colleagues and developers and I can safely say this is the best image optimizer out there. I was very happy to know you can optimize images that are already uploaded in your WP library too, thumbnails included. Some images would go as far as shedding 80% of their size.

If you appreciate faster loading websites, this plugin is a must have. Couple Kraken with your usual gzip compression and you’ve got the perfect recipe for quick websites. My PageSpeed Insights score for an image-heavy site used to hover around the 60 mark, now I’m on a whooping 95/100.

Can’t recommend it enough.
