    Hi there!

Terribly sorry you’ve had a bad experience with the plugin—I’d be more than happy to help you figure out what the issue with the formatting was, if you’d be willing to let me. In fact, I’d be quite interested in doing so, since I definitely want to see where the conflict happened so we can make sure to prevent it in the future for others (it’s not a problem we’ve seen before—definitely want to pin it down). Muut should be modular such that it doesn’t affect the styles on your website, but rather it is designed to make it so you can edit the styles of Muut directly on your website to make the integration completely seamless with your site’s existing styles. Messing up your site definitely isn’t the intended result, and I definitely understand the frustration at such a situation! ??

Regarding account deletion, that actually is an intentional decision on our part related to our core value of permanence in online discussion. You most certainly can abandon the account and leave it to sit and fade into oblivion, but we believe that the integrity of online discussion is greatly affected by the permanence (or lack thereof). I’d definitely encourage you to check out the part of our FAQ specifically about account deletion, and also our larger manifesto, which lays out the things we think are important to creating great and thriving online discussion, and how those influence our design decisions.

Again, I’m sorry that your experience with Muut was a negative one. If you’re willing, my personal e-mail address is paul [at] muut [dot] com, and I’m available any time to help you out. In either case, have a great weekend, and meanwhile I hope to hear from you! ??
