• I tried this slider and after deactivating it, my site still appears slow in Google PageSpeed Insights. Before I installed it, my site was faster. At best when it was active, this slider appears no different from any other slider out there. I wonder if it leaves behind residual code….

    BEWARE.

Edit: Ok, I admit I jumped the gun on the residual code leftovers. After retrying on Google Page Insights my site appears hardly any slower (2 points down). Initially I was shocked to see the site in the red even after deactivating the plugin for perhaps a minute…

But I still found it slow, at least on Google Page Insights (absolutely no difference, and showing me a lot of jquery bloat) and I disliked that I had to upload images from my computer rather than from the library.

Soliloquy Lite only enqueues jQuery that comes with your WordPress install. We do not install or leave behind any copy of jQuery nor any residual code of any kind, so it cannot make your site slower than previous after it has been deactivated. There is likely another plugin or your theme causing the speed issues, not Soliloquy Lite.
