Not for me…
-
I ended up removing this plug-in because the shortcodes didn’t work (a needed plug-in conflicted with this one, disabling the needed one made the shortcodes work on Download Manager). Even if I didn’t have the conflict, there’s so much Admin area advertising to get you to spend money on other plug-ins that it isn’t worth keeping it around (ads placed on Dashboard, Settings, and every Downloads screen for categories and new files.)
If it was a website I was maintaining alone, fine. But for work, other people have to put up with this crap. It’s really not free, it’s ad-supported. I don’t mind buying plug-ins, or the occasional solicitation, but if your plug-in is better designed to serve me ads than to do what it says it can do, I’m out.
