Plugin says "Just install and use" – yeah right

I’ve been on the internet for about two hours now looking for a solution. This plugin is not just ‘install and start using blade in your templates’.

Nor does it really tell you how to get to the point of using it in your theme. I followed the so called “directions” under the installation tab – to no avail.
