• I am the type of WordPress user who takes reviews rather seriously. I usually start by reading the negative reviews first — those folks are usually the ones who demand support. And while I do not always agree with their approach, I am more interested in how the developer does or does not reply.

There are 11 reviews that call it fantastic and 3 that call it the worst. None in between.

So I looked more closely at those 11. Of the 11, 9 are from reviewers who have ONLY posted about plugins from this developer and 9 have only posted a single review. Of those, ALL OF THE ACCOUNTS were created simply to post the glowing review. They had no history before the review and only one has written one since.

With so many honest and hardworking developers offering so much to the WordPress community, these kinds of antics can be described as nothing less than despicable. I have every hope that my post is reviewed by a moderator and that it triggers some kind of disciplinary response.

I’m not sure what’s worse: that some folks agreed to be paid to p*** in the WordPress pool or that some developer hopes to profit from such deception

    Ridiculous
