One of our biggest challenges with the current codebase is supporting those users who were on 2.x and 1.x releases of the plugin – particularly with the 1.x versions, we didn’t build a particularly graceful migration tool or provide an easy way to retain the “events in the main posts loop” functionality. I’d love to hear more from you about what would have made the setting to include these options more readily apparent to your clients (if you ever want to follow-up on that, I’m always available via email – rob @ tri.be). I think that’s an easy enough problem to fix on our end, with the right feedback regarding what’s problematic.
