• I recently set up my first pay-site. One of the biggest factors for me when deciding whether or not to take the plunge and try this was how simple Paid Memberships Pro looked to use.

I’m pleased to say that it really is as simple as it looks. When it comes to plugins, there are so many developers who can’t seem to “get” that what is obvious to them may not be obvious to users of the plugin. This is a problem that Jason and the rest of the team at PM Pro don’t have.

PM Pro is a one-stop plugin that can provide basic functionality, but also lots of bells and whistles, if that’s what you want — although some of the bells and whistles require some developer skills, which I don’t have.

The best thing: it’s FREE! That means that I didn’t have to send money away, not knowing if this plugin was going to be helpful or not.

I plan on “sharing the wealth” with this plugin as soon as I start generating some income. They certainly deserve some (monetary) credit for this excellent work!

    Thanks, guys!

Really glad you notice this and commented on it. We often get “why don’t you just do it this way” type inquires for improvements that definitely make sense for one type of business but not others. We try to keep PMPro as a membership “platform” without too much coded into it to force people into a particular business model/etc.

We haven’t gotten their yet, but I’d like to see more opinionated solutions built on top of PMPro that do handle a lot of the questions that people typical need custom code to get working in PMPro (how to handle prorating, upgrades, typical access to content) for specific niches. Some day.

Thanks again for the review and I hope you do “share the wealth”. Not necessarily by purchasing a PMPro membership, but by helping other folks who are using the plugin or might get good use out of the plugin. Cheers!
