when I enabled it it asked me for the ID of the search engine, to get this I had to go in the plugin page, setup an account, setup a new engine and then if I don’t add a document type it tells me the engine cannot be created, if I add a document type it tells me I have too many document types for my plan, the minimum plan is 19$/mo, all that to end by removing the plugin

You choose whether to subscribe to the plan or not and 3rd party sites can charge for their services as this does not contravene the WPORG plugin submission guidelines. Unfortunately, not everything in life is free.

The plugin however, does not have any issues irrespective of what choice you make. Therefore, your poor review is inaccurate and/or misleading.

I think it should be mentionned in the description of the plugin that it won’t work unless we suscribe to a plan, then we can make the choice, I should not find this after I installed it and setup an account. Just update your description with complete informations and everybody will be happy because they will get what they expect to get.

My name is Quin and I work at Swiftype. What esmi says is correct – you should be just fine using a Free account. It sounds like something may have gone awry during your setup (you should not have to add any Document Types). If you want to give it another shot, I’m sure we can figure out where things went wrong! oh ok happy to see it was not normal, maybe in the future, for now I found another service that worked for me, thank you
