• I have been using Zoo Effect for 2 years now and I love the ease of use. However, there are some inherent problems that, if addressed, could make this the only media plugin I would ever need. Our business relies heavily on images, so having great galleries is key to our website. When I first started using Zoo Effect, we were using WP 3.5. We always upgrade our WP sites to the latest version. Since upgrading to 3.8, I am finding that this plugin is very slow loading. Not sure whether it can be corrected by tweaking the code or not, but the load times are making me have to consider switching to a different option.

The other problem I can see is the hosting. As stated in a previous review, I refuse to pay twice for hosting. It should not be necessary. As of yet, we have not been forced into that situation, but when that happens, I will definitely have to find an alternative.

I am sure that both of these items can be addressed and I’m hoping that is what happens. I’ll be watching for information regarding this and hopefully it will have a good outcome. I would like to be able to go back to giving this plugin a 5 star rating, but there are some issues that need to be addressed first. Looking forward to seeing what happens.
