Can I keep selected posts out of the RSS feed?

Is there a way to publish a post and keep it out of the RSS feed?

Would backdating it keep it from going into the feed? Is there a way to publish it with the current date and keep it out of the feed?

(Our blog is in Google News, but we’d like to put in occasional administrative posts that we don’t want showing up in Google News.)
