  • Whats with that??!! No clients of mine will take the risk of that API rubbish. Dont know of a single other professional plugin that requires such a thing just for a simple slideshow.

    Excellent marketing – poor delivery.

    Thanks for your interest in EasyRotator, and I’m sorry it didn’t meet your needs. As mentioned under “Requirements” on the plugin page:

    Wizard application requires Adobe AIR (auto-installer included)

    The installation dialog that appears at the top of the dashboard guides the admin/client through the editor application auto-installer (which installs the Adobe AIR runtime if needed). These docs cover how that works: https://www.dwuser.com/support/easyrotator/wordpress/ .

    This external application allows for more efficient and powerful editing features; for example, images can be resized and optimized before being uploaded to the web.

    Obviously, not every plugin is perfect for every use case. EasyRotator for WordPress is well maintained and offers extensive functionality. Other plugins are more limited and/or don’t receive regular maintenance. If the installation of an external editor application doesn’t meet your use case requirements, then I recommend you choose one of the other many options. As a general tip, I do recommend that you review the “Requirements” section before installing a plugin; this should help you avoid wasted time.
