Where in the code do you see it making calls to Youtube?

I didn’t see it in the code. It just happened to be on one of my blog sites right on top of the jQuery button. Maybe I jumped to to conclusions, but I noticed in the change log that they added YouTube video on 1.1.0. I put 2 and 2 together and assumed that was why it was doing this.

Now this is frequent, I’ve only seen it happen one time. I didn’t waste any time, so I went ahead and deactivated the plugin.

I will also mention that this happened 1 day after updating to 1.2.4. This was the only plugin that I’ve updated in the last 3 weeks and it all started today, after updating the plugin less than 24 hours ago. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence, but it’s definitely suspicious with the timing.

So how does a plugin that makes no calls to Youtube embed Youtube…

I have no idea. I’m not a developer. Just wondering why this would happen on top of the “back to top” jQuery button that was powered by this plugin. What do you think could have caused this?

Without knowing what other plugins you use, whether or not your site is compromised, or whether or not your theme is at fault, or whether or not it was your browser – no clue. But seeing as there is nothing in the plugin itself that makes any call to Youtube, there is no possible way for it to show content from Youtube.

    Hello James,

This plugin doesn’t embed any video (ever) on your site. The changelog you mentioned is about the video is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gsdGOPfqF0 which will be displayed only on www.remarpro.com not on your site as @matt said.

    This is something else.

Disable or uninstall the plugin and see the difference. I am sure the youtube video will be still there.

You are absolutely right and I am deeply sorry for jumping to conclusions. I can be an ignorant noob sometimes. LOL

In fact it was a stupid Google Chrome Browser add-on that was doing.

How do I change my review? I would like to give it 5 stars!
