• I’ve been looking for a plugin like this for a while, and for the basic user it’s great. However there are a few features I’d like to see.

Firstly this isn’t really responsive. The images are set by a fixed pixel width, so if you try and view this on a smartphone, the images disappear off the end of the page.

Secondly I’d like to be able to style the thumbnails a bit better. The rounded corners don’t suit the square edges of my design.

Thirdly, I’d like to left align my boxes, not centre them. Again, the centred look doesn’t suit my theme.

Finally, I think it is important to display at least the excerpt, if not the date too, for each item. It would be nice to display these under the image, something like this.

Perhaps what would be best would be to define the number of columns instead and let the plugin fill in the width accordingly, rather than having to choose a pixel width.

These are just areas for improvement and I’m sure I could probably hack it to do what I want, but I don’t like hacking plugin code. For the time being this would serve you well if you’re looking for a pretty way of displaying blog posts. As mentioned by Eladp the single best thing about the plugin is that you don’t have to faff around with bloated Nextgen.
