[Plugin: WP Existing Tags] Problem with editing existing posts

Please update your plugin. I can’t seem to make that error happen, but made some changes in that function – that error shouldn’t happen again.

I am having a near identical problem

my error is:
Warning: in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument in /****/****/public_html/trooper/wp-content/plugins/wp-extags.php on line 77

I have just downloaded and installed the plugin at 4:50PM CST.

After I install the plug-in to the standard directory and activate it I see the following error message repeated 6 times at the top of the Manage/Write Post admin page:

Warning: in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument in /home/********/public_html/******************/****/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-existing-tags/wp-extags.php on line 77

I have found the problem and fixed it. Please update.

I have updated. Errors are gone, but the plug-in tag functions are not showing up in tag box on the edit or manage screens.

If you used inner WP update function on plugins page, plugin may have been moved to /plugins/wp-existing-tags/ directory. You can edit paths in lines 35 and 131 yourself, or update once again. Now paths point to /plugins/wp-existing-tags/ directory, and installation guide have been adjusted to require installment to this directory.

I tried deleting the plugin all together and re-uploading the new version after the auto-update effectively killed it. I still do not see the existing tags on the post writing page. Does this plugin need to be manually edited now?

No, it doesn’t need editing now. All you need is WP 2.5+, install plugin into /wp-existing-tags/ and have JavaScript enabled in your browser, since Dashboard already uses jQuery, and I have no need to load jquery.js once more for plugin.

If you’ll tell me your WP version and list of plugins you use, I will try to find confict.

Also, it can be browser conflict, but I have tested the plugin on IE6+, Firefox 2+, Safari 3+ and Opera 9+. What browser do you use?

I have the latest WP version and a bevvy of plugins (47 at last count). It worked until I updated it and then it was gone. Your plugin was the only one updated when it broke so unless you changed the source code, it shouldn’t have conflicted with plugins it had previously played nice with. I use the one-click installer plugin to load up and manage my plugins. I will check the file system via ftp and make sure there are no stray files created in the auto update and try re-uploading it by hand to see it it fixes things.
