• Our entire infrastructure relies on PostgreSQL, from our Rails apps to our internal portals and everything in-between. We did not want to have to install another DB engine just to run WordPress; however, we knew we wanted to run WordPress because it is hands-down the best blogging platform out there.

Enter PG4WP. We have been using this since the 3.3 days. It had a few issues with 3.4.2 but they seem to be resolved as of 3.5.1 (Sometimes, it would error out with the generic “Can’t select database” error).

This is an amazing plug-in that really does enable us, as heavy Postgres users, to use our favourite blogging engine WordPress without having to resort to the ugly MySQL.

  • Hello. Do you have any limitations now, since 7 month. Is it smooth to use it the same way like with MYSQL ?

We are still running the 3.6 series but yes, we are still using and enjoying this plugin 7 months later.

Wishing you all the best for 2014!
