Almost perfect

  • I love that it’s free and it has allowed me to run contests on my website.
    I would give it 5 stars if the user could vote on the larger photo and not just on the thumbnail. (Don’t want to remove the option to vote on the thumbnail, just wanted an additional option.) Would definitely be willing to pay for that option. Thanks!

    I’m glad you like the plugin. If you search the forums, you will see many people have requested the ability to vote on the popups.
    The problem is that it just isn’t possible to do without the user (you) having a good understanding of PHP and JavaScript, and adding lots of code to lots of places. Even then, the changes that need to be made would be overwritten if you updated NGG, or even in some instances WP.
    I really wish I could add this feature, but it’s currently not possible.

    Just a note to anyone who stumbles across this. I found a way to add the voting in the popup. It requires the ‘shutter’ popup to be selected, and won’t work with the other lightbox effects.

    This feature has been added to version 1.6 and above of the Premium add-on to NextGEN Gallery Voting.
