Publish Options Disappeared

  • Hi Everyone,
    I have a strange issue here, i was using wordpress perfectly fine yesterday and today the option to publish posts has disappeared. So now i have no publish option for my posts, does anyone have a resolution for this please?

    This appears to be happening with all my WordPress installations it appears it is a server wide issue does anyone know what would have caused this?

    Did you try to disable all plugins, activate the default theme and see if the issue still there.

    In addition, try disabling all extensions you might have installed in your browser.

    Hi Everyone,
    I have tried all of the above including, trying different browsers and computers Mac & Windows etc. It’s strange that is happening all across my server not just one WordPress site and only started today.

    Do you see any errors in the console in your browser?

    Nope no errors, could it be a database or php problem on the server? I have modsec and other security features on the server could they be blocking something?

    try disabling mod_security.

    Disabling Modsec had no effect, but under quick edit the published option is there just not when i create a new post?

    If it’s happening to all sites on your server, then it’s *something* in your server config. How vanilla can you get it?

    If there was a server related issue would it be more database rather than php issue due to not actually being able to post new posts or pages?

    IF there were a database error, you’d have a publish button but (maybe) get an error when you click it. If there’s no publish button, it’s not the database.

    I am stumped by this as there is no logical explanation as to why it has happened or to find a solution on how to fix it!
