    Hi:

Plugin has been active for approx a month or so. I Ftp’d there yesterday for another reason and found that the “wp-content” folder now has 9,998 folders labeled “backupwordpress-(unique10 digit number)-backups”.

Equally important is that the original files and folders are no longer in (or at least are not visibile) in the folder “wp-content”. Such as the Themes, Plugins,..etc folders and files.

The site is still displaying properly, although I don’t understand how, since the files and folders in “wp-content” are gone and are replaced by those 9,998 folders “backupwordpress….etc..”

Can you provide any advice, thoughts, directions as to how to get the original files back?

    Site is https://va.org

    Thank you.

    BobP

    Hey there Bob –
I’m still completely baffled by how this happened, as I responded to you over the support channel. Hopefully you are able to provide access so we can check things out a little more closely. It sounds like that there was a serious bug we need to account for there.

If anyone else has the same issue, PLEASE reply here or start a thread with all the details you can provide. If it’s affecting others I want to get as much information as possible to the developers so they can work on getting it fixed, okay?

    Hi guys,

I need your help. I tried to back up our website and it says that “Something went wrong with your backup. It looks like another process might already be trying to backup your database. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists please contact support.”

I don’t know what to do. Please help as I need to do an update for our site.

    Thank you!

Hey April (@areyes20) I’m sorry I didn’t see your reply before. It sounds like you have a different issue than this user reported. Can you open a new topic for us so I can try to help you troubleshoot further if you’re still having trouble?

    Thanks so much!

My wp-content files are gone as well, but nothing replaced them. I originally went in to change some permissions and everything worked fine. Went in tonight and the folder is empty and images on site are all Red Xed and the menu is just text down the page.

Hey there @abethke1 unfortunately it sounds like you have a different issue, could you please start a new thread and include any further information on the lead-up to this happening? Also, check with your host and explain what happened with them, as it is unlikely that our plugin deleted any core files. Your host can help you look at error logs, access logs, and any other server-side things that could pinpoint when and what happened. Definitely start a new topic, though, and I’d be happy to work through further troubleshooting with you.

    Thanks so much,
    Kat
