Low / out of stock email for parent product, not variations

Example:
I buy a certain shoe model in 8 different sizes. One of each size, to be clear. Each time I sell a size, I receive the out of stock email. And if I were to add a new size or refund an order and add something back to the inventory, I get another low stock email, because the threshold is ‘1’.
As seller I’m not really interested in these emails, although I am interested whether a certain model is low or out of stock.
I therefore would like to be able to set these types of emails for a product, but not it’s variations. If 1 product comes in 8 sizes, then 8 should be considered the stock count and when I sell 7 sizes and am left with 1 last pair, then I’d like the low stock email. When all sizes are sold, then I’d like the out of stock email. This just makes more sense to me.
Is this possible ? If not in WooCommerce, then perhaps a plugin ?
